Tea Party - Who Are They - Do They Represent The Mainstream?

Feb 10th, 2010

One of the great things about this nation is that we all have the freedom to speak our minds. Even if our speach is not truthful, full of bigotry, and loaded with hypocrisy.

If one digs into the tea party movement we find that they are for less government and fiscal responsibility. We also find that these folks are conservatives that only seem to be for these things during a Democratic administration. Where were these folks when Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2 all were running up huge Federal deficits?

Having values is great. Applying them consistently irrespective of ones affilation to a political party should be the standard that is applied. Have you ever heard a Tea Party person acknowledge that we need to get back to fiscal responsibility like we had during the Clinton Administration that delivered four consecutive years of Federal budget surpluses?

The mainstream media would have us believe that the Tea Party movement is a reflection of the nation as a whole. It is not. It is really nothing more than a movement being sponsored by the Republican party and Fox news (sic). If you get into the Tea Party itself you will see that it is a movement of a number of Republican sponsored groups, groups sponsored by big business, and racist groups. It is not a movement at all.

But a picture is worth 1000 words so we need to look at a few to truly capture the essence of this movement.

(By the way, the Mensa candidate above is the head of one of the Tea Party groups)

In the highly successful Tea Party Convention held in Nashville (Feb 2010) attended by about 600 racist white guys, keynote speaker Tom Tancredo has this to say:

"People who could not spell the word vote or say it in English put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House — name is Barack Hussein Obama.”

Here are a few more pictures. Wonder who Tom was talking about?

It is one thing to have a difference of opinion. This is not a difference of opinion. This is nothing more than "well to do people" stirring up ignorant people to do there bidding after years of massive Federal Budget deficits, failed foreign policy, and turning over an economy in total collapse.Do those signs represent the kind of America you want to be a part of? Do they represent the moral fabric by which you wish to raise your children?
