Letter Template - Subprime Mortgage Meltdown

Like the majority of Americans I have been responsible with my money and with credit. I DO NOT care to see my tax dollars spent to bail out people that were a) highly leveraged and flipping properties; b) took out loans that they know they could not afford; c) the reckless financial institutions that lent money to people and business without clear assets and the means to pay them back.

I have yet to see any transparency with the first $700 billion that was appropriated. In fact it is not even being used for what the original intent was. $700 billion would employ a lot of people. Instead it is essentially being given to businesses that operated in reckless manner. Now these businesses are laying off their employees. I am not real sure who is benefiting form you actions. Would you care to explain?
